The Icitabo Diary #17

This week we have made some absolutely fantastic progress over here at the Icitabo Project, and as I'm sure you have heard, we have some great news for you.

Last Tuesday, three of our members (Jack Moylan, Dylan Duffy and Patrick Watts) attended the YSI Den where they received the opportunity to present our project in front of a panel of YSI "Dragons" in the hopes of receiving financial aid, just like the "Dragons Den" televison show. Our three presenter were asking for the largest amount ever requested for by a group of students, €1000, and due to their fantastic presentation, we managed to receive the entire amount! We would like to thank all of the dragons present on that day for their fantastic generosity, as well as saying a big well done to our lads on the day.

This €1000 has brought us incredibly close to our final goal of providing the first ever public library for the use of the children of Kabwe, and we are so close to having the library up and running. It will cost us approximately €3000 to fully convert our shipping container into the library that will prove so helpful to the children of Kabwe, and we have already raised over €2300 including the recent funds from the YSI Den. Now, we are in the home stretch, and we only need to raise another €700 in order to finish our project. We encourage all of you to try and donate a few euros, as we are so close to our goal and only need a last push!

As always, thank you all for your continued support!

~The Icitabo Team
