The Icitabo Diary #16
We are still making some great progress here at the Icitabo Project, and we have all been working very hard over our mid-term break to reach our goals.
This evening, we are very proud to have the chance to be present at the ZAMDA Gala event. The director of our project, Eoin Kelly as well as several of our members will be going from table to table distributing leaflets containing information about the Icitabo Project as well as answering any questions the guests may have about this event. The Gala itself is raising money for a fantastic cause, in order to care for the students who have graduated from Sables Nua. We hope to see some of you there!
We have also now beginning our fundraising efforts for the Runamuk challenge! A hand picked group of our members will be taking part in this challenge, which consists of a grueling timed 5 kilometre run, and we are sure our participants will do excellently. We are all raising money together as a part of this fundraiser, and all money received will be put towards the furniture for our library!
Finally, our YSI Den team have been working diligently in preparation for their preparation, and the whole group will be meeting together tomorrow in order to rehearse their presentation. We wish them all the best of luck next tuesday!
