We're starting to get back into full swing here at the Icitabo Project, and after a relaxing break it's time to kick things up a gear. We hope you all had a happy Christmas and New Year!
Our project leader, Eoin Kelly has submitted the final official Young Social Innovators application for our project, so things are starting to get serious! We currently have not received a reply from the YSI den, however we hope that we will be selected for such a great opportunity, and the expert advice and fundraising tips we hope to receive will add an immeasurable boost towards our project.
Unfortunately, we were not able to meet with Pat Fanning, the principal of the Sables Nua school while he was back in Ireland for Christmas, however we will still be in regular contact with him through Email and Skype when he is back in Kabwe.
Our Bemba translator, Mr. Joseph Bwembya Snr. is making great progress translating the children's books our translations committee, and has told us through Facebook that he is thoroughly enjoying the process. We are very thankful for Mr. Bwembya's help, and hope the children of Kabwe will enjoy the books he translates.
As always, thank you for your continued support,
~The Icitabo Team
