We have been making some great progress over here at the Icitabo Project during the run up to Christmas, and we have some fantastic news to share with you.
We are currently in contact with Mr. Joseph Mwila Bwembya, who has very kindly agreed to translate some children's books from English to Bemba for us. This is an exceptionally kind gesture on his part, and is extremely heplful to our cause. We hope the children of Kabwe will enjoy these books, and we would like to thank Joseph very much for his help.
Mr. Pat Fanning, the principal of the Sables Nua school in Kabwe is currently home for Christmas, and we are currently organising a meeting with hime in person. This meeting will be very useful to us, as we can establish where the library will be built, and how much it will cost to have it built by local people, providing them with a steady job while the library is in progress.
Finally, the head of our project, Eoin Kelly is obtaining shipping quotes in order to fin out how much it will cost to send the books over to Kabwe. Once the shipping costs have been obtained, the project will be in its final phase- the building of the library and the sending of the books!
As always, thank you for your continued support
