This week we are bringing you a very special edition of the Icitabo Diary, in which we have decided to give you all the current tasks we are currently doing and hope to have completed as soon as we can. We are currently organising a football tournament for fundraising, which we hope will be a success, and we have a lot more going on as well!

We are planning on meeting three Zambian nationals this month, who will be able to provide us with invaluable knowledge of the Bemba language and Zambian customs, as well as giving us insight into how we can improve our project.

Our communications team is also in regular contact with Mr. Pat Fanning, the man behind Sables Nua, and we are currently organising a Skype meeting between Pat and ourselves here at the Icitabo Project.

At the same time, we will be organising the collection of some personal stories of children who have attended / are currently attending Sables (who will be named anonymous), which we will publish in the form of a children's book for the other children in Kabwe to read. We are currently in contact with the renowned Irish writer Roddy Doyle, who may be able to assist us with these stories.

Finally, The Languages committee are going to try and make a simple Bemba-English phrasebook app which will prove invaluable to us in our efforts to learn the language, and we are researching the construction methods we could use for our library, and The Wright Venue has been contacted about holding a fundraising event in the venue itself.

And as always, thanks for your continued support!

~The Icitabo Team
